The Arfon Presbytery is part of the Presbyterian Church of Wales, which is a Protestant nonconformist denomination tracing its roots back to the Evangelical Revival of the eighteenth century. It seeks to share the good news of Jesus Christ through creative worship, service and witness

Within the Presbytery, there are 26 Welsh-medium churches served by seven full-time ministers, two youth workers and one community worker, as well a large team of elders and volunteers. Activities range from regular Sunday worship to youth work, community support, pastoral care and social engagement on current issues. Funds are regularly raised towards a variety of local and international charities such as the Wales Air Ambulance and Christian Aid, and Fair Trade is also actively supported.
